The well hollowed agate brush pot is carved in the form of two gnarled pine tree trunks, with red portioned of the agate as 'Sanduo' namely the lingzhi fungus, pomegranates, and finger citrons skillfully carved around the body. Mid-Qing Dynasty period, 18th century.

""佛"與"福"諧音，相傳佛之手能握財寶，多財寶表示多福；桃子俗稱"壽桃"，《漢武故事》說，西王母種的蟠桃"三千年一著子"，吃了可長生；石榴，取其"千房同膜，千子如一"，作為多子的寓意；《北史》：北齊南德王高延宗納妃，妃母宋氏以兩個石榴相贈，祝願子孫眾多。"三多"圖案有的以佛手、桃子和石榴組合於一盤；有的使三者並蒂；也有的以三種果物作纏枝相聯。以佛手諧意福，以桃子諧意壽，以石榴暗喻多子，表現多福多壽多子的頌禱，故稱福壽三多紋。可參考一相似“十八世紀南紅瑪瑙三多筆筒”，原爲香港船王趙從衍家族收藏，成交于香港蘇富比秋季拍賣，2017年11月，拍品號 Lot 362 (圖1.） 來源：來自洛杉磯的一個兩代重要家族的私人收藏品，於1970年代至2010年代期間匯集而成。"
