A PAIR OF IMPERIAL GILT BRONZE ENAMEL BODHISATTVA'S THRONE BACK-SLABS    清 宮廷用銅鎏金掐絲琺瑯佛背光一對

Of arched oblong form, each gilt bronze back-slab is delicately decorated in relief with the eight Buddhist emblems of various colors on the outer edge, flanking the central openwork panel of two confronting dragons between a 'flaming pearl' amidst the intricate floral-scroll patterns on one back-slab, and five bats between two peaches amidst cloud scrolls on the other slab, all above the cresting and rolling waves. The base is in the form of double lotus throne that decorated with a band of foliate scroll patterns. Qing Dynasty Period.
