This compressed bulbous censer is supported by three paw-shaped legs emerging from lion heads and flanked by a pair of extending mythical beast ring handles to each side. The body is decorated by a low relief continuous band of mythical beast designs and is repeated on the domed cover. The cover is surmounted by a flaring finial modeled as open-form leaves. The stone is of overall white tone. 19th Century.
