The teapot of globular form, with short straight spout, ear shaped handle, flat lid, and beaded finial, the body’s surface smooth and without decoration. Bottom bears four character mark “SHAOHENGYUZHI”. Signs of repair on the teapot wall.


短直流,耳型把,器型飽滿,素面素心,單手盈握,實為佳器。
Shao Hengyu was a famous zisha teapot maker during the Qing Dynasty period, although there’s no verifiable record of his birth and death during that time. His entire family was known for making Zisha teapots during the Kangxi, Qianlong, and Yongzheng Dynasty period.
邵亨裕,清代制壺名手,生卒不可考,人說清三代的邵家壺。
