The recumbent buffalo is carved with four feet tucked underneath body, the head slightly raised and tail swept to the left, with a boy sitting beside holding a rope tied through its nostril and over its back, and the other side with a boy holding a large lingzhi. The stone is of even celadon tone with minor russet veins. Accompanied with hardwood carved base imitating the rocky ground. Qing Dynasty period.
