the gilt-bronze bell is finely cast and suspended from two arched loops flanking the swirling clouds forming the handle, the top of the bell finely decorated in relief with two cranes and two phoenixes in flight amidst clouds. The body exquisitely cast in high relief around the mid-section with two powerful dragons raising from oceans, divided on either side by rectangular panels, in-between cast by five alternating horizontal bands of scrolled motif and raised bosses. Ming Dynasty period or later.
