石色青紫，質地溫潤而澤，細膩而滑，硯堂平闊，自然似湖面，側面陰刻“泰華樓藏”，泰華樓（泰華樓是清朝鹹豐年間探花李文田讀書的書齋。因珍藏“東嶽泰山碑”和“西嶽華山廟碑”早期的拓本故名。）
