The deity is shown seated on a deer skin over a lotus stand with left knee raised, the body wearing long robes adorned with jewelry and headdress, the left hand raised in gesture and the right hand holding a skull cup, his expressive face with curly beard and hair, his prominent eyes flanked by two pendulous earlobes with circular earring.


大成就者毗盧巴出生於印度,生活於9世紀中葉。關於他上指的手勢,有這樣的記載:一次,口渴的毗盧巴喝乾了一個酒館裡所有的酒,店家要求他結賬,毗盧巴提出當地上的陰影到達某個點時才結賬,然後用手一指,阻止太陽移動。兩天一夜太陽一動不動,當地的國王大惑不解,令人查詢。當他聽說有一位瑜伽大士將太陽停在天上時,國王為他付了賬。毗盧巴離開以後,太陽又開始運行了。薩迦派特別崇拜毗盧巴,當表現他“阻止太陽運行”時,要麼採用“不共”姿,舉起右手;要麼用“共”姿,舉起左手。作為上師時,他施轉法輪印。此尊毗盧巴像再現了一位梵僧的形象。身材肥碩,四肢粗短。面龐飽滿,眼睛圓睜,鼻翼與口部微張。頸上戴有雙重瓔珞做成的飾物,胸前的瓔珞彎捲成半圓形如花瓣,下垂的部分形如“個”字,充滿裝飾感與律動感。右手置於胸前,持嘎布拉碗,左手上舉,食指伸出,表現了將太陽止於天空的一瞬。他的右腿平置於檯面,左腿彎曲豎起,是古印度大成就者常見的姿態。身下鋪墊有獸皮,是神秘與力量的再現。
