Qing Dynasty Qianlong period. Of rectangular form, one panel intricately carved in shallow relief with an elephant with head turned on its side next to an attendant holding a tall staff, all standing on a cliff framed by trees, clouds, and rocky outcrops, the reverse carved with plums blossoms on gnarled branches issuing from bottom rocks; the other panel carved with similar scene on front panel, reverse depicting chrysanthemum. Both supported on a delicately carved zitan stand carved with archaistic scrolls. The stone is of smoothly polished even white tone.

此對插屏以大料和田白玉為材，玉質細膩，潔白無瑕。一面浮大象紋飾，大象隱匿於山石樹木之中，寓意天下太平、五穀豐登。另一面雕梅花及菊花紋，寓意吉祥。配精工紫檀木托，製作精美，工藝精湛，木與玉搭配，相得益彰，實為文房雅玩之佳作。整體造型規整，精美大氣，用料厚實，匠心獨運，成對保存，十分難得。清代宮廷之中，插屏是重要的宮中陳列物品，不僅可以陳列於案幾之上，也可以作為文房用具，實乃大雅之藏。 來源：俄勒岡州私人藏家舊藏。類似成對清代白玉雕紫檀插屏，可參考香港佳士得2004年4月拍品號1225，成交價2,527,750 HKD
