Qing Dynasty period. The vessel is carved in the form of an archaic bronze ewer, guang. The body is carved in high relief with sinuous chilong dragons clambering on mouth and sides, the stone is of celadon white tone.

古觥為盛酒器，乾隆帝本人尚雅習古之風，所以宮廷造辦處琢制了很多此類仿古器物。本品白玉製成，瑩潤潔白，凝膩如脂，造型古樸華美，蘊含裝飾趣味。呈長方形，敞口，方唇，束頸，窄平折肩，腹部較深、下部內收，長方形圈足。腹外飾以“蒼龍”“螭龍”分別攀附於觥身兩側。整體器物材質上乘，色澤均勻，溫潤質白，器壁薄厚均勻，雕工精湛，拋光細膩。 來源： 洛杉磯資深私人藏家舊藏
