此石氣勢雄偉壯觀，造型上取自然之態，有傾斜險勢之美。石質堅密清潤，表面褶皺，縱橫嶙峋，靈動而不失氣韻，予人無限遐思。配高腳木座，為文人鐘愛之雅物，置於廳堂，從靜觀自得的生活中體會到山水的美感。陰刻“嵐煙”二字，落款“阮元”。阮元，字伯元，清朝中期官員、經學家、訓詁學家、金石學家。
