Warring State period. Each side of the flattened oval body cast with 24 panels arranged in five horizontal bands and divided by raised borders inlaid with copper sheet of dull reddish color, each panel with interlaced hooks and scrolls, the shoulders with matching panels, set with applied mythical beast mask suspending loose rings, the neck with a chevron band, the rim and upper band of chevron. 扁壺為酒器，口微撇，短頸，扁圓腹，方足。兩側飾獸首銜環狀耳，器身滿布“羽狀紋飾”。可參考一尊較小戰國 嵌紅銅鳥紋扁壺(高31.4 cm)，藏於台北故宮博物院（(https://theme.npm.edu.tw/opendata/DigitImageSets.aspx?sNo=04012065)）。來源：紐約重要私人收藏
