SHI JICHANG: A YIXING "LANDSCAPE SCENERY" TEAPOT    史繼長製 朱泥泥繪壺

Of rounded rectangular form, the teapot’s body depict village, mountains, river, and trees on both sides against reddish-orange clay, the handle of ear shape with lobe, and the finial also of rounded rectangular form, on top of stylized ruyi patterns. Bottom bears four character "Shi Jichang" mark. Shi Jichang, born during Qing Kangxi Dynasty period, was often praised for his masterful pottery making skill, combined exceptionally well with calligraphy incision and painting.


此壺細膩,生動,壺咀三彎流,流口上揚,耳朵型直把,嵌入式壺蓋,壺鈕方中帶圓,壺身周邊飾以堆泥山水畫,整體觀之方中帶圓。史繼長,清康熙胤禛年間人,後人對其紫砂陶藝之精湛讚譽有加,達到了登峯造極的地步,無論製壺,篆刻,繪畫,達到了完美的結合。
