YANJI TUSHU: A YIXING "TREE TRUNK" POT    延記圖書款 樹樁盆

Of compressed ovoid form, the body in naturalistic tree stump form with remains of severed branches, supported by three tapering short feet with artistic cracks, all with orange-brown color. Bottom bears four character mark "Yanji Tushu", surrounded within a panel of floral patterns. Similar Yanji Tushu mark was seen on "Yangtong" teapot made by Wen Cai. Wen Cai was born during late Qing Dynasty period, and he a renowned potter known for "Yangtong" teapots.


類似款式在聞才製洋桶壺上有見過,聞才為清末民初人,與儲銘齊名,其洋桶壺以大而精著名,當時的國良傳爐,以洋桶聞才衆所周知,更為藏家所求。此盆古雅質樸,書香味濃,書房擺設典雅溫馨,值得收藏。
